The programme is designed to take account of the frameworks developed by the National Health Service and the Department of Health and Social Care and is underpinned by a commitment to the value base of health and social care and seeks to produce graduates who are committed to actively promoting the rights and choices of those who use health and care services.
FSB offers an innovative foundation year to complement the Undergraduate Degrees. Our Foundation Year* is the first year of a four-year degree. Completion of the foundation year leads to the first year of the 3-year degree in Business Management.
The foundation year provides those unable to access the traditional UCAS tariff requirements for a three-year degree with an alternative route to gain an honours degree.
A range of summative assessment tasks will be used to test the Intended Learning Outcomes in each module. These are indicated in the attached assessment map which shows which tasks are used in which modules.
Students will be supported in their development towards summative assessment by appropriate formative exercises in each module.
