Giedrius has built a distinguished academic and leadership career over the past decade, beginning his professional journey as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school and later as a Business and Finance Lecturer at a further education college in London. He joined the Fairfield School of Business as a Business management and has since progressed through a series of pivotal academic and leadership roles, including as a Module Leader, Course Coordinator, Academic Team Lead, and Dean of Learning and Teaching. He now serves as Vice Principal and is an active member of the Governing Board.
In addition to his academic and leadership responsibilities, Giedrius is a committed member of several professional organisations, including the Royal Economic Society and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), among others. His active engagement in these professional bodies reflects his dedication to lifelong learning, sector-wide collaboration, and the enhancement of academic standards.
Throughout his career, Giedrius has demonstrated a strong commitment to educational excellence, strategic leadership, and institutional transparency. His contributions have been central to shaping the academic direction and upholding the quality standards of the institution. With extensive experience in curriculum development, quality assurance, and student engagement, he continues to play a key role in driving academic innovation and improvement. Additionally, he holds sound experience and deep knowledge of higher education, particularly in areas such as teaching and learning strategy, degree awarding powers, academic partnerships, internal and external audits (regulatory), the Student Protection Plan, and the Access and Participation Plan. His expertise ensures alignment with regulatory frameworks and continuous institutional enhancement.
Giedrius is currently finalising his doctoral thesis with Glasgow Caledonian University and holds multiple academic qualifications, including degrees in Business, Human Resources, Finance, and Accountancy. He also holds recognised teaching qualifications (PGCE), is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, external examiner, holding a qualification in Quality assurance of assessment processes and practices (RQF) and is in the process of submitting for Principal Fellowship status.
