Hussain Mehdi is an experienced finance leader with over 15 years working across financial planning, strategy, and compliance. He currently serves as as an Independent Governor at the Fairfield School of Business (FSB). 

Hussain provides clear and practical  advice to the senior leadership team and governors, helping guide key decisions around budgeting, forecasting, and long – term planning. He’s responsible for making sure FSB stays financially healthy, and prepared for future growth. One of his proudest achievements was advising on the financial planning for the campus expansions. He navigated all the necessary compliance checks, even in a challenging economic environment.

As an Independent Governor, Hussain also plays a key role in the wider governance of FSB. He helps ensure the organisation is not only financially sound but also meeting its academic and strategic goals. Hussain holds a  degree in Finance. He’s known for being calm under pressure, incredibly detail – focused, and someone who builds strong, capable teams.

Whether he’s advising on day – to – day spending or helping shape long-term strategy, Hussain is deeply committed to helping FSB grow sustainably and continue delivering high-quality education.
