Our foundation year in business management will help you assess your strengths and confirm your specialist area of interest.

Throughout the first year of this four-year course, you will develop the skills and confidence to be able to progress on to our BSc Business Management course.

This course will introduce students to all the fundamental principles of academic practice.

You develop the range of skills needed in the foundation of business and management with a particular focus on academic writing, innovative thinking, communication skills, and research practice.

Year 1 Modules (Level 4)

The modules of this course are designed to enable students to build their business skills and acumen incrementally.

Students will engage in research, develop creative and innovative skills, business and management knowledge and gain the ability to evaluate data, understand financial statements, process information, and produce solutions to creative briefs.

Year 2 Modules (Level 5)

By Year 2 you will be able to demonstrate an ability to identify, critically evaluate, and apply theories of global business practice using your creativity in a practical context.

The course will be supported by a wide range of industry links and field trips, helping students to develop a deep understanding of business operations. You will also have the opportunity to complete a work-based learning opportunity or professional project.

Year 3 Modules (Level 6)

In your final year, you will build on your previous years of learning and utilize your business management acumen to identify solutions to both real-world and defined business events and problems.

The sum of your learning experience and rich understanding of business will enable you to produce a final business and management implementation project.
